When your group visits Rickreall Dairy, LLC you will be able to do a number of things: feed the calves a bottle, see the cows being milked, see our tank room (where the milk goes), see where the cows “live”, see the different varieties of food that make up the cows’ diet, and play in the cottonseed (one of the foods that the cows eat!). Remember, you will be on a working dairy farm, so bring appropriate shoes.

In the Woods’ family since 1913, the farm has offered a pumpkin patch for 41 years. We grow and sell wheat, pumpkins, gourds, squash, and ornamental corn to the public during the month of October. Hay rides, miniature horses, and a clown are added on the weekends in October. School tours are given on weekdays for $2 per person (advance scheduling required), includes a 5-pound pumpkin and a gourd, a viewing of the video “The Pumpkin Circle”, and trips through the corn maze, Pumpkin Forest, and Pumpkin Caboose.

Cooley’s Gardens, Inc. is a retail/wholesale grower of bearded iris. In business since 1928, the fourth generation of the Cooley Family manages the business, which has grown from a backyard hobby to one of the world’s largest iris farms covering about 200 acres. Display gardens, specialized equipment and more are on display during bloom season, May 20-30. Production Tours are available by appointment from July through September.
